Hurray for those who cycle!   Families understandably drive!

Driving is super easy given the farm’s proximity to the A23 with the last 300m of single file chalk track making for a suitably rural arrival.. – When you reach the letter box where Pyecombe Street forks, turn right and come all the way up. Park in the yard if you have booked a parking place – usually limited to just 8!   Sorry our solar and wind off-grid system doesn’t (yet) provide enough elec for guest vehicle charging.

Trains are also very easy to Hassocks Station and then a cab (or for the intrepid a bus/50 min walk).. its about 3 miles from Hassocks Stn and there are several local taxi firms – HurstTaxis – hursttaxis@live.co.uk or call 01444 253328 pre-booking advised.  Likewise South Downs Taxis on 01273 846666.

Buses from Brighton (and Hassocks, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill)  From Brighton ask for the Pyecombe Footbridge stop – its far closer than Pyecombe Petrol Station stop..  Number 17 goes on the hour last time we checked.. Also the 270, 271.. 273..but Sunday service not so great.. nor are evenings brilliant.  But Chantry Farm is a lot better served than many rural locations..

Cycling there’s a major route nearby.. and walking of course the SDW!
